Yet another boring day in Kunming!

It was raining!

MC had decided that he was going to find a cafe to sit down and do his business case. HJ and I were still contemplating where we wanted to go. After buying our train tickets to Guilin and depositing our heavy luggages at the train station, hj and I decided to go to Shi Lin 石林. I was still going to the toilet a lot!!! Nonetheless, I thought that since I was here I should at least go and take a look. We tried the trains, but no tickets. We eventually got on to a mini bus that one of those guides who approached us. It cost RMB 80 for the entire 1 day trip. We sat in the bus and subsequently someone asked if we were in a rush to get back. We asked what time they usually come back and they said, if they were in a rush they would have to make special arrangements. Apparently, we were the only 2 customers for them that morning, because of the rain. HJ and I exchanged looks of doubt and hurriedly got of the bus. We were not about to be cheated again!

We then went to Discos to have tea, while I ate my medicine and visit the toilet again and again! (Smecta smectile powder 思密达蒙脱石散剂 was a very effective medicine for diarrhoea.) We eventually found mc (whose phone was low batt which he eventually managed to get charged) at a cafe but we went to a internet bar nearby instead to “do business case” and bid modules. The computers there did not have Microsoft Word (since everyone was gaming instead) and we could not do any work. Eventually went shopping for more socks, food and water before re-joining mc at the cafe.

It was, as I said, a boring day in Kunming again.
