My mum came to visit me in Shanghai on 7 August 2005, after a typhoon hit Shanghai and her flight was delayed by 1 day. Thankfully she arrived save and sound.

In Shanghai, we stayed at Motel 168, which was a cheap and good hotel to stay at. It was clean and had friendly staff. There was even internet connection in certain rooms. We did the usual sightseeing places, such as the Bund, the Pudong New area, Nanjing Road, and by herself she also went shopping while I was at work.
