October Holidays 十一国庆节 :: Chengdu 成都 :: Day 6

The final day in CD. mc, yv and hx went to meet their boss for breakfast. Even while on holiday, they cannot escape their boss’s clutches … sad sad! The rest of us – ck, hj, yx and i – went back to Jin Li because I wanted to find that guy who wrote calligraphy.

He gave his artist name as Zhen Yi (真一). Reached there around 9.15 am when he was just about opening his stall. He told us to understand him a little. I flipped through his photo album and realized he wrote the largest calligraphy words in Chengdu many years back.

I agreed to do the 10 bookmarks which was life’s philosophy depicted from my name. While he wrote, he gave us some IQ games to play. Like those wooden blocks that we were to use to make various shapes, cubes which we had to dismantle and fix back. It was very very challenging. time flew really fast and by which time when mc, yv and hx came to join us at around 11.30 am, we were still there. I had managed to overcome one of his more challenging ‘game’ and he told me that he would not charge me for his service. Yea!!!

It was a damn interesting experience.

Once again, we visited the Xiao Chi stalls and ate all the various forms of small snacks … yum yum!!!

After that, we did not know where to go. We had about an hour and a half before we had to go the Airport. Sitting outside Jin Li, we finally decided to go to sit in a Tea House and drink tea, a Si Chuan Specialty.

The tea house. We spent about an hour plus there … suppose to be chatting, but we ended up all busy trying out and attempting to do the IQ games that we had purchased after being so inspired by the calligraphy guy. Highly amusing!

We then made our way to the Airport. This time we went early, as we did not want to be like when we left Shanghai, almost missing the flight … we were the last passengers on the plane and they were going to call our names. Oops! Miscalculation of time!!!

Back in Shanghai and back to Reality!

Totally looking forward to the end of the year when I can travel again. Got a great travel itinerary, and without a plan. It will definitely be a daring and challenging trip. Cool! Simply cannot wait! Hahaha!
