Going to Shanghai Pudong International Airport
Shanghai Airways – Hmm … not the best flight to take, but no choice … it was one of the cheaper flights liao …!!!
And we arrived in Chengdu … We hopped onto a van that was … they were actually a tour bus, but since they could not get anyone to take a tour that day, so they tried to rent out their travel services instead. Bargained for RMB 100 to bring us to our Hostel!
The hostel was a nice and cosy place … we had 7 of us, but we booked the entire 8 person room. After settling into the place, we headed to the tour agency to sign the contract and to pay the tour fees. Finally met Wang Xiao Jie (王å°å§) and her voice or more precisely, her intonations, was very very funny. She recommended us to a Hot Pot place called Chong Qing De Zhuang (é‡åº†å¾—庄). The Hot Pot (ç«é”…) was good … very very HOT … as you can see from the REDness of everything!
After dinner, we headed down to Qin Tai Lu (ç´å°è·¯). It was an old street and the buildings there all had ancient architecture.
After walking a bit, we ended up at a massage place. The rest of the shops were all closing as we arrived there a little too late. The massage was not bad. RMB 60 for 2 hours of massage, including foot massage and body massage. That’s a price you would not be able to get in Shanghai.
