I wasn’t feeling too well that morning, but there was still so much to do and see.
My dad, Gerard and Joanne had went down to Abu Dhabi to meet a client. Only Serene and I were left to tour Dubai. Our itinery was short, as we had an afternoon desert safari tour too.
We went to the Dubai Museum, and ten walked around the old parts of Dubai, the bastakia.

A hotel at the Bastakia, hotels there were similar to guest houses and were all so pretty.

The desert safari begins when the driver came to pick us up. By which time, we had waited at or hotel lobby for over an hour and I was half asleep, half sick from a hint of fever. I slept most of the journey to the desert, though I recall the 140 km/h ride out on very very straight roads to the desert.
I wasn’t into camel riding, so I did not ride the camel. I was only excited during the dune bashing part of the trip, where we sat in the safari vehicle and the driver drove up and down and across dunes. That was exciting! It was quite anti climax for the rest of the journey, including the not so nice performances and not so nice dinner.
