Dubai (Day 6) :: Final Day of Exhibition / Mall of the Emirates

It was the final day of the exhibition. Finally, I think I was getting abit bored. Anyhow, the last day was open to the general public so we were more casual and dressed down. We also closed alittle earlier since our target market wasn’t exactly the general public.

After the exhibition, we went to the Mall of the Emirates, which was even further out that Deira City Centre. It was opposite the Burj Al Arab and on our way there, we saw the night view of the Burj.

We had dinner at an Iranian Restaurant and so had Persian food.

Had dinner with 2 Germans who were meeting us for some business collaborations, which I think might not have worked out in the end.

The mall was huge!

The indoor ski slope!

There were so many shops that there had to be a published map and store directory to navigate the mall. There was borders, zara, CK, LV, Boss, all kinds of brands … and Serene had a good time shopping at Zara Sale.

After that, I insisted that we head across the street (it was in fact still a 10 mins taxi ride) to Souk Madinet where we could chill at a bar and have a wonderful view of the Burj Al Arab.

View from the entrance of the Souk, breathtaking!

Witty advertisement!

We went into Trilogy, a club, I think the cover was 60 Dirhams (30 SGD), but it was so worth it. they had many floors, but that evening the rooftop was the only one open and it was Morrocian style.

View from the Top.

Me with a glass of “blood and sand” drink and a Shisha in the other!

Yawns! We went back at almost 3 am (Remember that’s 7 am SG time).
