The flight from Singapore to Dubai takes approximately 8 hours and the time difference between Singapore and Dubai is 4 hours. Leaving Changhi Airport at around 8 pm, we arrived at Dubai International Airport at 1 am (Dubai Time). The “delegation” consisted of my dad, Serene, Joanne, Gerard and myself.

The airport was so busy even at 1 am and it was like a huge shopping mall, where big brands can be found, books, CDs, electronics, etc … The city doesn’t sleep!

It was my first time to the Middle East and I was excited, even though more than 1/2 of the trip was suppose to be spent at the exhibition. It was the International Autumn Fair in Dubai.

We made it through the immigration unscathed, though Joanne was stopped for a while. It seems that the Middle Eastern men like girls like Joanne, so she was usually stopped at immigration for the men to chat her up longer. Ha Ha!

Our hotel was decent, but not exactly very cheap. Cost approximately S$400 a night but the standard was so so only.
