Cambodia (16 – 26 May 2006): Day 6

To the market

The rain stopped! Went to the market by moto and walked around as well as eat at the local market. The food was good, but I doubt I would have even given eating there a thought if not for someone else’s suggestion. It was not a very clean place to be eating, but I was OK just because the food looked fine (i.e. no flies!). Anyhow, no regrets! Had the nicest coffee there.

Seeing Hands Massage

Walked back and on the way saw Seeing Hands Massage – which is the massage place where they train blind people to massage so that they can earn a living for themselves. The massage was wonderful!!! (US$4 an hour)

Lion Monument

Finally, the round about had the famous lion monument.

Back on the beach, there was a period of sun. Finally. I went to swim in the sea. It was refreshing, after the rain. However, the sun did not hold and the rain soon came back again. Interesting food that an old lady sold – small lobster, crayfish, whatever!
