Cambodia (16 – 26 May 2006): Day 11

The final day

There really wasn’t much left to do in Phnom Penh. We had brunch at a nice hotel – Bougainvillea Hotel, then went to walk around the place and ended up at a massage – Seeing Hands Massage – again. (US$4.50 per hour) =) My final meal in Cambodia was at Friends Restaurant. It was a nice place, felt like a kindergarden, and the meal was good too. This was the place that they trained the kids to be chefs and service personnels. It is a great cause.

Friends Restaurant

Check out their website at Street Friends.

Sitting in the park

With time to spare still, went to sit by the park and watched the sky slowly turned dark. It is interesting how the Cambodians are so carefree. After class, head out to play badminton, or kick chactek. We also saw this bunch of kids dressed very “hip” and identified them as rich kids. Thus, we see the great divide in terms of the rich and poor.

Good Bye Cambodia

PP’s airport was very pretty!

Phnom Penh Airport

Sat there and drank coffee cos’ the plane was delayed.

All in all, the 10 day trip was most enjoyable. Had a lot of fun visiting the various places. And in all cases of holidays, I have returned back to Singapore – back to reality, and I must now focus on the task at hand, my HYP. (“,)

Thanks for taking me on this adventure!
