This day trip was made a day after SHEN’s Panel Discussion, “Doing it the China way!”, and was to bring Sarah and Angel (NOC Staff) to the neighbouring Hang Zhou to see the beautiful West Lake.

We took the train (hard seats) to Hang Zhou and decided that it was not advisable to sit hard seat back, so refunded our tickets and got soft seats for the return trip.

We took the public bus to West Lake and had lunch at a little restaurant opposite Yue Fei Temple.

After lunch, we went for a stroll along the path and the weather was so cooling and beautiful.

We walked till Lei Feng Pagoda, but did not go in as there was an entrance fee.

So, we walked back towards the lake. It was a really good day to walk, with the cool breeze and no sun.

We finally left the lake and headed into town, for food, and shopping. I even introduced Angel to M/B my favourite clothes outlet and she bought a pair of jeans for her bf also.

So, that ended the entire day and we headed back to Shanghai, all tired but fulfilled.
